USS Bowfin, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii
The crew of the USS Bowfin (SS-287) at the end of WWII. One of the most successful boats in the US fleet, Bowfin completed nine war patrols by the time of the Japanese surrender, claiming to sink 44 enemy ships, damaging seven others and torpedoing a bus. Today she can be visited at USS Bowfin Submarine Museum and Park.
