I Patgon Ni Tuma'yok Desde Guahan Esta Luta: The Boy Who Leaped to Rota

Local artist Dawn Lees Reyes has illustrated and written a series of children's books depicting Chamorro legends. The Boy Who Leaped to Rota is written in both English and Chamorro, translated by L.T. Paulino. The artwork features "latte people" and tells the story of a young Chamorro boy in ancient times, whose physical strength attracted the jealousy of his father. Her other books include The Tale of Two Lovers and Sirena. The back of the book includes nine pages for coloring.

Soft cover. 32 pages. 8.5 inches by 11 inches.

Loved it so much we bought it twice

My parents brought this shirt back as a souvenir for my 4 year old daughter. She wore it constantly until the day she discovered scissors 😭. She cut it up and was so proud of herself until I freaked out, then we both cried… I would usually take this opportunity to teach a lesson about scissors and say “sorry, you’re SOL.” But this gift was so loved and I felt she learned her lesson when she realized she had ruined it rather than improving it.
