A collection of stories as written or shared by the residents and family members of Ford Island’s North End Housing, now known as “Nob Hill”. The intent of the book is to enlighten the reader with memories of eighteen families who lived in one specific neighborhood one particular day in history. May we all remember the sacrifices of not only the brave men of our military, but also the wives and children who lived on Ford Island. They are also survivors of Pearl Harbor who found themselves immersed in the mayhem of war, eyewitnesses to the pivotal event that thrust the United States into World War II.
Includes black and white photos and map.
Soft cover. 8.5 inches by 11 inches. 162 pages. Made in the USA.
The quality and fit are great but not the windbreaker I ordered
We bought a windbreaker back in 2016 when we were in Hawaii for our 50th wedding anniversary celebration. My husband has worn it so much that it is getting worn out. So I ordered him another one. The feature he liked the best was that the hood is hidden in a pocket at the neckline. Well, we received a windbreaker without that feature! He's very disappointed. After 3 emails to you, we have not heard back how to correct the order.
I send this book to friends who are planning visit to HI. This is a very interesting story of the Infamous day told from the perspective of a young girl whose dad was a Marine stationed on Ford Island. Their house faces the AZ and today bears a sign of her last name.
This women’s shirt runs very small. XL fits more like a small-medium. It is MUCH too small for me. I will donate it to a needy family. Too much trouble to return, as I threw away the slips/tags.
Proud to be a supporter of the PHP cause. Especially when I get the privilege to wear a shirt honoring our boys who have been lost but not forgotten. Please continue to add new and distinctive shirts and I will keep on buying!
