Signed F4U Corsair Matted Print, 19.25" x 11.75" - This signed matted print features the legendary F4U Corsair, the first single-seat fighter to exceed 400 MPH in 1940. Nicknamed the “Bent Wing Bird” by U.S. forces and “Whistling Death” by the Japanese, it became the top Marine Corps fighter of WWII.
The artwork highlights Corsair #56 “Sunsetter” from VMF-113, the “Whistling Devils,” stationed on Engebi Island in 1944. This aircraft is now part of the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum. A bold tribute to WWII aviation history and Marine Corps legacy.
Each print is signed by the artist, Doug Kinsley. Comes matted and shrink wrapped for safety.
This flag was a gift for my husband for Fathers Day from our family. We had it flown on his birthday. He is US Navy, Ret and was very moved by this gift!
We now hope to plan a trip to the Pearl Harbor Memorial Site!
A fantastic interpretation and retelling of the men who left home and family to fight for freedoms still denied them, and who proved their loyalty to a country they loved through valor and sacrifice few other units have equaled.
Mar was so helpful and found the shirt so quickly and sent it out so fast. I really appreciate their help. You have made my husband very happy. Thank you.
