World War II for Kids: A History with 21 Activities

by Richard Panchyk

Foreword by Senator John McCain

Now more than ever, kids want to know about our country's great struggles during World War II. This book is packed with information that kids will find fascinating, from Hitler's rise to power in 1933 to the surrender of the Japanese in 1945. Much more than an ordinary history book, it is filled with excerpts from actual wartime letters written to and by American and German troops, personal anecdotes from people who lived through the war in the United States, Germany, Britain, Russia, Hungary, and Japan, and gripping stories from Holocaust survivors - all add a human global perspective to the war.

These 21 activities show children how it felt to live through this monumental period in history.

Softcover. 176 pages. Includes black and white archive photographs, line drawings, and maps. Ages 9 and up.

Honors Rendered

I had the opportunity to be in Hawaii Nov. 30 to Dec. 9th 2021, participating in the 80th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. During this time I escorted 41 Young Marines from the Pfc Bruce W Carter MEDAL OF HONOR Miami FL unit. I proudly ordered and received 15 Flags flown on December 7. 2021. These were presented to those Veteran's who have served and fought for our Country. Thank you for fulfilling my request in a timely manner, and the Certificates made these a personal gift which is honored by all..Semper Fidelis Gunny Lou Slagle USMC Ret

An Awesome Piece to my Pearl Harbor Collection

I love this canvas bag! It is super sturdy! And I can't wait to use it when I go to coffee shops to write!

Amazing gifts!!!

I was given a flag 6-7 years ago. For years I wondered how my friend got a flag from the USS Arizona memorial. After visiting the museum and seeing I could order flags, I have been giving these as gifts for family graduating boot camp, for birthdays, retirements, and any other special dates in the lives of service members and family members. These flags, given as gifts, are absolutely amazing.
