This folding compact mirror features two inner mirrors and the iconic Rosie the Riveter poster on the front exterior. The back panel features the text, "WWII forever changed the perception of women in the workforce. The many women who worked in munitions and aircraft factories, took great pride in their support of the war effort, and eagerly took the places of the male workers who were fighting in the Pacific and European Theaters." The compact measures approximately 2.5 inches square.
This is a well written account of the attack on Pearl Harbor and this brave sailor's survival and the fate of his shipmates. Should be required reading for all Americans. Definitely illustrates why that generation is labelled the greatest!!
It was an emotional gift for my parents. They loved it and it meant so much to my Dad who is a Navy veteran. The packaging and certificate was fabulous. It made for very unique memory for them.
The Oahu Island Atlas and Maps was published in 2010. It's out of print from the original publisher. I'm thankful to Pacific Historic Parks for still having some copies in their inventory. I'm giving my brother and sister a map when they come to visit from the mainland.
