Ka'ahupahau: The Legendary Shark Goddess of Pearl Harbor: The ancient Hawaiians mastered the practiced of aquaculture through the development of fish ponds that were built throughout the major islands of Hawaii. Some of the largest of these fish ponds were found at Pearl Harbor and they provide a major source of fish for Oahu.
The Shark Goddess of Pearl Harbor was the home of the legendary Hawaiian shark goddess named Ka’ahupahau, who lived at the entrance of the harbor and was known for aiding fishermen, protecting the life of the seas, and drove off man-eating sharks. This is the second polo shirt we have bought. We visited Pearl Harbour in 2018 and paid our respects on The USS Arizona Memorial. The polo shirt fabric is excellent quality, well made and very nice to wear, and it has an embroidered emblem not a print. Also it fits well, true to size.
