From the Introduction:
On August 2, 1939, Dr. Albert Einstein wrote the following letter to President Franklin D. Roosevelt, warning that the element uranium might be turned into a new and important source of energy in the near future, calling for "watchfulness" and "quick action" because an "extremely-powerful" bomb could be constructed.
The Board which President Roosevelt convened (his letter follows) probably laid the groundwork for the Atomic Energy Commission and the Manhattan Porject which developed the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan in August 1945, ending World War Two.

My wife and I visited Pearl Harbor in February this year, we went to the book store to buy the t shirt and they were out of my size, I really was impressed with the shirt and continued to research and buy it when I got home.
