GANBARE: Example of Japanese Spirit - This powerful book by Patsy Sumie Saiki documents the wartime experiences of Japanese Americans in Hawaii during World War II. Through deeply personal oral histories, it sheds light on the internment, discrimination, and resilience faced by this community in the aftermath of Pearl Harbor. While visiting Pearl Harbor in 2025 I made various purchases at the gift shop but didn't see this item there (it was on my 'to buy' list). While recently purchasing some items off the online site I decided to get it. A very cool item I'll add to the rest of my Pearl Harbor memorabilia.

I visited Oahu in April 2025 and spent a lot of time at Pearl Harbor. I picked up a bunch of items including t-shirts at the gift shop but didn't see this one. I recently visited the online site and saw it and knew I had to have it. Made of the same durable quality as the other shirts I purchased and very cool looking. A great addition to my collection.
